1. Croupier The Mike Hodge film lets you see things through the eyes of a live casino dealer. It focuses on sides of gambling that you may not have been aware of.  The hero in Croupier, Jack Manfred, believes that you need to make a decision in life: be a croupier, or a gambler. Thanks to his casino job, he has a clear view of both bettors and the bosses in charge of the industry. Jack appears to be a controlled man and you can’t help but empathize with him.  Even though he doesn’t gamble in casinos, some of his life choices seem like appalling gambles. The man wants to be a writer and he tells his story in third person. With his symmetrical features, detached attitude and slicked back hair, he comes off as a creepy man with calculated moves. However, this isn’t true as he seems to always be in trouble.  There are hints that he may have been a gambler at some point. Unfortunately, he hasn’t been able to break the gambling patterns in his regular life. His father was a gambler, drunk, and womanizer. The movie explores how Jack’s calculated façade may be a way to cover up his childhood pain.  
  2. Casino Royale This film gives you some insight into compulsive gambling. While this subject has been around for a long time, Casino Royale presents it to you in a fresh perspective. With the increased popularity of cash app gambling, it is an important conversation.  This movie stars Judi Dench, Eva Green, and Daniel Craig. They fit perfectly into the gambling theme. James Bond, staring as Daniel Craig, is presented as an audacious gambler who eventually earns an assassination mission. The film is full of twists and turns. She was a former champion skier but eventually developed love for underground poker.  This movie will give you a sneak peek into the world of illegal gambling. Even though it is flashy and thrilling, the world comes with many downsides. Molly’s Game features high-stake games, fantastic characters, and tricks that you can only experience in the underground betting world. The movie emphasizes on the disadvantages of illegal casinos. 
  5. Mississippi Grind This gambling-themed film was produced in 2015. It explores the struggles of gambling addicts going on a trip to New Orleans. They hope to get a generous poker payoff. However, Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck run into some trouble and their plans are stifled. The movie goes on to take you through a journey of regret, despair, and depression. Instead, of demonizing gambling addicts, this movie depicts them as real people with real challenges. 
  6. Uncut Gems This is one of those unforgettable movies that you watch over and over again. It first got into the market in 2019 and it takes you through the life of gambling addiction. Adam Sandler retains his charm and likeable nature all through the film. The comedy actor proves that he can take on any role.  He plays the role of a gambling addict showing how dangerous and unpredictable the life is. It is an eye-opening movie that everyone needs to watch. However, it isn’t all sad and depressing. There are plenty of interesting occurrences from the beginning to the end. It takes you through a rollercoaster of emotions including hope, self-doubt, fantasy and despair. 
  7. 21 This is another top-rated gambling movie. Even though the first part of the movie isn’t very exciting, it becomes more captivating as you go. Jim Sturgess, staring as Ben Campbell, learns about card counting from his MIT professor. The professor, Micky Risa, goes on to create a secret club of like-minded gamblers.  Being set in Las Vegas, 21 has an authentic casino feel. The professor and his team are great at counting cards in blackjack and they get lots of profits from the local casinos. At some point, however, Ben Campbell meets Cole Williams and things change.  Cole holds a grudge against the professor and the plot quickly changes to a story of bitterness and vengeance. Unfortunately, the secret gambling club doesn’t survive the chaos that follows. This film is based on the novel ‘Bringing down the House.’ It has a series of twists and turns that will keep you at the edge of your seat from the beginning to the end. 
  8. Ocean’s Eleven This is another must-watch for gambling fans. It was filmed in Las Vegas, the gambling capital of the United States. It touches on the ills of gambling and gambling addiction.  Even though it doesn’t show the winners of most gambling scenes, it is clear that George Clooney loses 25 blackjack hands. It is a clear testament of the fact that the house always wins. In addition, it demonstrates how tempting the gambling world can be.  George Clooney goes from prison straight to the streets of Las Vegas.
